By demonstrating meaningful utilisation of the electronic medical record, facilities are able to maintain Medicaid and Medicare reimbursement levels. Providers who show that they are meeting the meaningful persona criteria during EHR utilize will receive an incentive payment from Medicare and Medicaid. Meaningful use is using certified technology in EHR implementation to improve quality, safety, efficiency, and tailor health disparities engage patients and families improve care coordination and maintain privacy and earnest of patient health discipline (Centers for Medicare & Medicaid Services, 2013) . The federal government has encouraged EHR use in hopes that it will significantly improve patient care.
